A Bright Idea

The CER has appointed the Register of Electrical Contractors of Ireland (RECI) to operate the Safe Electric Scheme from January 2016 until end of 2022. RECI are responsible for regulating the activities of Registered Electrical Contractors (RECs).

Switched On to Standards

It is the role of the SSB to ensure that all registered electrical contractors are operating to the relevant national standard and technical rules. This includes inspecting their work on an ongoing basis and carrying out disciplinary actions where necessary. The SSB will also hold a register of all registered contractors.

Switched On to Safety

The Electrical Regulatory Safety Scheme ensures that all electrical installations in the Republic of Ireland are carried out by competent electrical contractors.
That’s why you should only use a Registered Electrical Contractor and always get a Completion Certificate.
